| Web Bug Swatter |
Web Bugs are little tiny images websites include in their pages. They load a picture fromom another website, which allows the other website to set a cookie on your computer. Usually these pictures are tiny; either invisible or as big as the period at the end of this sentence. So you don't see them. They are most commonly used to track you as you visit a website or for other advertising reasons. Desktop Armor's Bug Swatter can automatically remove these Web Bugs from web pages as you surf the Internet. It will display a little note at the bottom of the page saying how many bugs it removed from the page and also shows a list of them. You can hold the mouse over the bug numbers to see the address in the Status bar at the bottom of the browser's window. You can turn the bugs blocked details off, but you do have to Buy Desktop Armor to do it. Desktop Armor can also play a sound for any page where it blocks Web Bugs.
